Frequently asked questions

Below are some common questions that we get asked a lot. If you have a question that isn’t listed below, please get in touch.

How much does it all cost?

The price of websites varies depending on the required functionality. A simple website, with a few pages, a contact form and some text/images would generally cost around £500 initially, with an annual running cost of around £350 (included in the first year).

Sites which include e-commerce or booking systems will generally cost more, and often have an associated monthly fee or commission associated with the card processing and booking. This varies depending on what your business is and what your operational requirements you are, so for a more detailed estimate, please get in touch with us.

Business email addresses are reasonably cost-effective, with an annual cost starting at £25 per annum. This assumes you already have a domain name (the URL). If you don’t, there would be an extra charge of about £15 per annum for the domain.

Pricing for Social Media Marketing and Video Production is generally done on an hourly basis, meaning there is scope for working on projects of all sizes. The hourly rate is generally £25 p/h, but this can change depending on the type of work and amount of equipment required.

This question can be a little bit of a ‘how long is a piece of string’ question! After our initial consultation, we aim to get a first draft of the website over to you within 7 working days. From here, the time to going live just depends on how complicated the site is, how much content there is to populate and how many changes the client wants to make!

We have had sites that have launched the same day as the initial consultation, and have also had sites where the process has taken 1-2 months, as well as everything in between! Essentially, it depends, but if you’re looking to move quickly then we can definitely work with that!

Yes of course! We’re happy to help with the management of an existing site. We can do this in one of two ways:

  1. Continue to manage the existing site on the current platform – for example, if you built your website on a platform like Wix, Squarespace etc but would like someone else to run it for you, we can happily do this.
  2. Migrate the site to our platform, and manage it from there – we can also work to migrate your existing site to our platform and continue to manage it from there. We can replicate most designs to look indistinguishable from the original. This can often be a better solution going forward, as our platform is more powerful than most other systems and often cheaper!

With most of our sites, we are able to provide the customer with login access to the back-end of the site to make changes and update content. For some customers this works well and allows the customer to update small copy changes yourself. We are also able to provide video tutorials for how to make these basic changes.

The vast majority of our websites are built using WordPress as a base. WordPress is a very versatile platform, which, when combined with a huge variety of plug-ins, allows you to build beautiful websites with huge functionality.

Our e-commerce sites use Woo-Commerce, in combination with WordPress.

The majority of our sites use Elementor to make front-end changes. This is a very user-friendly way of making changes and allows customers to have the ability to make their own changes and manage content themselves.
